Charles Darwin University (CDU) was established in 2003 after the merge of Northern Territory University (NTU) of Darwin with the Menzies School of Health Research and Centralian College of Alice Springs, and it was named after Charles Darwin. The University has 4 campuses and 4 training centres with 23,000 students. CDU is the only one university based in the Northern Territory. It is a member of the group of seven Innovative Research Universities in Australia and one of top 5 Australian universities for graduate employment and salary outcomes.
